Charles G. Locurto Obituary

Charles “Chick” Locurto died on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the age of 85, following complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease. Chick was born in the Bronx, New York, in 1937 and was the first of two brothers. He met the love of his life, Joan Sepe, in junior high and they later got married in 1955. After having two children, they moved from the Bronx to their first home in Yonkers, New York. The couple raised their family and lived in Yonkers for 40 years, until retiring to Mount Kisco in 2005.

Chick was a butcher alongside his father, Charlie, and younger brother, Paul, who died in 1991. Chick fondly told stories of the good times with his father and brother at Fair Meat Market on White Plains Road in the Bronx. He remained a butcher all his life. Chick loved playing cards with his friends and enjoyed Sunday dinners with the extended family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Joan, and children Karen (and Anthony) DeRosa and Charles (and Cecile). Additionally, he is survived by his four grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Jaclyn and Christina, three great-grandchildren Joseph Jr., Samantha and Everly.
