Obituary of Richard Allen Sandstrom

Richard A. Sandstrom of Yonkers, NY died on August 15, 2023. Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. He served honorably in the Marines in Platoon 333. After his military service, he lived in California for most of his life and returned to Yonkers in his later years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica. Some of his hobbies included reading, writing, and keeping up with current events. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert, and his sisters Susan, Mary, and Cathy. Interment will be held for family at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Monday, August 21, 2023.
