John Contrino, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 64. John was born in 1959 to Alice & John Contrino. Family was always the most important thing to John. He was incredibly proud of his four sons and loved being a grandfather to his only granddaughter Vera Rose. John was known for his kindness and wonderful sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. If you Bumped into Johnny, You left with a smile. John is survived by his two sons John & Nicholas; two stepsons Richard & Nicholas; granddaughter Vera Rose; ex-wives Donna and Lisa; siblings Carol, Charles, and James; and his sister Linda who passed away last year. He was preceded in death by his parents Alice & John. John's passion was fast cars and making people smile, and he shared that love with his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. John lived life to the fullest and his absence will leave an extremely large void in the lives of all who knew him. Visitation will be held at the Sinatra Memorial Home at 499 Yonkers Ave, on Wednesday, August 30 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Monastery on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 10:30 am, burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemtery.

John was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. May his memory continue to live on in all that loved him. Johnny lived life the only way it should be done …. his way
