In loving memory of Thomas Kurian Valiplackal who passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday September 9, 2023 at the age of 71.

He is survived by his loving wife Alice, his two sons John and Mathew, daughter-in-law Jacienta, and his three grandchildren Rafael, Michael, and Lucia.  He is forever remembered by his siblings including Mariamma Kurian.

Thomas (“Papa”) was born on March 18, 1952 in Edapady, Kerala, India to parents Kurian Valiplackal and Mariam Kurian. He was one of 10 children. He grew up in Kerala and later married Alice Valiplackal on June 22, 1992 and had two sons John and Mathew Valiplackal. He came to America in the 1970s, worked a few different jobs, and finally settled as a clerk for the New York City Department of Transportation where he worked for over 20 years.
