It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio Gerardo Petroni, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Antonio departed this world on November 15, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Antonio was born on June 22, 1935, in Ponza, Italy, where his journey through life began. His path led him to a profound love story with Silvana, his devoted wife of 61 years. Their enduring commitment was a beacon of strength, inspiring all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Together, they built a life full of joy, resilience, and unwavering support.
Antonio is survived by his loving wife, Silvana, and their daughters, Joann (Phil) and Maria (Mike), who, like him, understood the importance of family bonds. His siblings, Lorenzo (Fiorella) and Rosa (Frank), shared in his joys and sorrows.
A proud patriarch, Antonio leaves behind a legacy that extends through generations with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His wisdom, kindness, and love will continue to guide them through their own life journeys.
Antonio was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in the simple pleasures of life, especially when he was fishing and hunting. However, Antonio's true joy came from gathering his family around a large Italian table, with delicious food and animated conversations. He found happiness in the shared laughter and the joyous chaos of a family united.
In his passing, Antonio will be reunited with his brother Joseph, his parents Attilio and Giovanna, and his daughter Nina. Antonio has found eternal peace. As we mourn his physical absence, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. Antonio Petroni's memory will live on through the stories told, the traditions continued, and the love he showered upon all fortunate enough to know him.
May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him, and may his family find comfort in the cherished memories that will forever live in their hearts.
