Obituary of Giovanni Febbo

Giovanni Febbo, beloved father and grandfather, passed away the morning of Friday, November 24th at 87 years old.
He was born on September 11th, 1936 to Luigi and Vincenza in the coastal town of Vasto, Italy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Guglielmina “Antoinetta”, married 1960, and his sister, Nicoletta and brothers, Alfonso and Tino.
Giovanni came to the United States in 1961, where he and his wife would then build a beautiful life in Yonkers, New York and start their family. He is survived by his loving children Louis (Karen), Vincent (Roseanne), Anthony (Antoinette), John (Anna) and Irene, and his sister, Marisa.
He is also leaves behind his eleven grandchildren, who he greatly cherished; Victoria, Antoinette, Dominic, Vincent, John, Jenna, Anthony, Jessica, Nicholas, Sophia, and Adrianna, who affectionately referred to him as “Poppy.”
Giovanni was often known as the “Mayor of Park Hill” and “Skinny John” and over the last 60 years, has made so many memories with family and friends at places like Cafe Puglie, Gulio’s, and Villa Volturno Social Club. He also was a lover of horse racing and his daily routine included visiting the Yonkers Raceway.
Giovanni loved his family dearly and he will be deeply missed by all.
