Ana Arvelo Obituary

Ana Arvelo passed away on December 17th, 2023 surrounded by a room full of love amongst her children and grandchildren.

She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on July 28, 1928 to Ramón and Angela Montalvo and is survived by her 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was the matriarch of our family and on any given day you could walk into her apartment and smell the Puerto Rican cuisine that was likely prepared within 20 minutes or less, with an infectious smile on her face while dancing salsa.

In 1956, she married her husband, Mariano Arvelo. They spent 49 magnificent years together raising a beautiful family in the name of the lord.

Our mother was known for being full of life and love, brave, selfless, the ultimate prankster, strong, and amongst all else, her strong faith in God.

Today we lay our mother to rest with her Daughter, Milagros Hromada and Husband, Mariano Arvelo.

Today, tomorrow and forever we celebrate Ana Arvelo, “Mami”, “Abuela” for God’s gift to us of 95 beautiful and unforgettable years.
