Victor Wilkie, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023.
He was born on March 19, 1931, in New York, New York, to Marie and Frank Wilkie. He was the eldest of three, with two younger sisters Dolores and Frances. Victor's life was a testament to love, family, and unwavering strength.
Victor grew up and attended school in Manhattan. Post High School, Victor enlisted in the US Army. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal after 4 years of service. He then embarked on a successful career as a steamfitter, where he worked as a member of the Plumbers Steamfitters Union, Local 21 for over 30 years. In the meantime, Victor met the love of his life, his sweetheart, Constance Begy. They married on Feb 4, 1959. They were blessed with 2 baby boys, Victor Jr. and Jeffrey Paul. Constance and Victor were happily married for 64 years.
Victor had several pastimes. During the summer, Connie and Victor took the boys on annual trips to Vermont just to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Victor played golf and enjoyed watching the tournaments on TV. Victor also frequented the Yonkers Raceway Casino where he socialized with close friends.
Victor is survived by his loving wife Constance, his son Victor Jr his wife Lisa, his son Jeffrey and granddaughter Paige.
May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of all those who knew him, and may his family find comfort in the cherished memories that will forever live in their hearts.
