Con tu partida, una parte de mi se va contigo. Por ser tu primogénita, comprendí que me distes lo mejor de ti cuando pudiste. Siempre escuché, madre no hay mas que una, pero no cobro sentido para mi hasta que te fuiste. Te doy las gracias por seer mi madre, y sobre todo una abuela insuperable. Hoy , te pido que seas mi estrella y la luz que me ilumine cuanto tenga temor en este mundo frío, lleno de odio y de tanta incertidumbre. Gracias por darme lo que nunca nadie podrá, tu amor sincero y apoyo incondicional. Tu partida deja un vacío profundo un hueco en mi corazón , pero estoy consiente que tu alma se encontró con nuestro señor . Every weekend when I moved to New York, I would either go to the mall or the outlets with Abuela - Sundays we went to church and I remember driving all the way to Brooklyn, eating lunch together, and then walking all of Manhattan the rest of the day. As we walked blocks to the Statue of Liberty, we stopped at all of Abuelas favorite stores along the way and shopped. It was oftentimes the highlight of my week. I remember I would sit down because I was tired from all the walking, and Abuela would say, "Why are you sitting down? You are younger than me and Im not even tired." It would be past closing time at Disney World, and Abuela would be right there with us because she didnt miss out on any of the fun.
I will miss every memory. She was a part of all the core ones. I will always miss her laugh. The snarky remarks. The witty comments. The way she would say the food was bad and proceed to eat it all. I will miss her asking me about the weather. The list goes on.
I am forever thankful for the moments I shared with you Abuela. So grateful to have known and experienced your love. Thank you for always prioritizing us and creating a safe and happy place for us that we absolutely loved visiting. Christmas at Abuelas was truly magical. Love you Abuela Mami. Miss you. Muchos besitos y abrazos.

My favorite memories with abuela were when we visited New York and I would stay with her. Abuela was always so excited for me to visit and she was the best host. Anything we ever wanted to eat was there and when she woke up early and we were still sleeping in the pull out couch, she would wake us up so we could sleep in her luxurious bed until we wanted to wake up. I always felt safe, loved, and cared for. As soon as we were up, the stories began. She told us the same story many times and always paired with a lesson. But we just listened and laughed. How much I wish I could hear those stories one more time.
Whether in person or over the phone, we always finished our time together with “Abuela te quiero mucho, muchos besitos, más que eso pero no puedo” and abuela would respond with, “I loved you, mamita” in her cute accent.
Abuela I was so lucky to love you and to be loved by you. I will miss you always but I carry your legacy and am thankful for the strength and love you taught me. And how to be feisty, too. Te quiero y te mando besitos por siempre.

My favorite memory with Abuela will forever and always be our trips to Disney. When we were little she would always say “let’s go see Mickey Mow Mow.” Her and Abuelo would show up in their matching shirts ready for the day at the parks. She was so cute whenever she would ride the rides or how she would get so scared on Jaws at Universal even though she has been on it plenty of times before. She was just as excited as we were to go.
