Francis Joseph Blake, age 65 was born in New York. He resided in Yonkers, New York. He passed away on Friday March 1, 2024.
Francis was born on May 2, 1958, the son of the late Mona Blake. He is survived by sister Mary Jane and brother in-law Cromwell. Brother Gerard and sister in-law Celeste, niece Shannon, nephews Patrick and Kevin, and his life long partner Debra, with lots of cousins living both in the United States and Ireland.
Francis (Cookie) was an elementary school teacher, for the city of New York, for the past thirty five plus years, and beloved by all his colleagues.
His passion was baseball, and a devoted Yankees fan, where he worked as a vendor, from the age of 16 through the 2023 baseball season witnessing many historic seasons.
His other sports passion was the New York Rangers Hockey team, to which he was a season ticket holder witnessing historic Stanley Cup victories. He was an avid History buff and knowledgeable in many fields.
