Obituary of Michelle M. Fernandes

Michelle Fernandes, known to most as Miggie, was born in Yonkers, NY. She lived out her childhood, teenage years, and early adulthood in Dutches County, NY. Michelle returned to Yonkers to live out the rest of her life. She passed away at the young age of 43. Michelle is survived by her son, Samuel Santoro, parents, Oscar and Maria Fernandes, a sister and brother in law Cinthiya and Wil Ortiz, a niece Jasmin Morais and three nephews, Julian, Jace and Royce Ortiz. Miggie was a vibrant, energetic, giving soul. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. For Michelle, life meant carrying with you a free spirit and happy smile. She was a fashionista and took care and pride in making her home a warm and welcoming place for her friends and family. She was courageous and fearless in every step she took throughout her life. Michelle's infectious smile and radiant soul has left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She was the person you could always count on, and will be held close in the hearts and memories of many. Her life was a gift to those she touched.
