James Vincent Nigro, 90, passed away peacefully on April 11th, 2024, at NYP Lawrence hospital in Bronxville, NY. James was born 12/23/1933 in the Bronx, to Anthony and Esther Nigro. He attended school in the Bronx through high school and was accepted into the country's proudest military service, The United States Marine Corps in 1952 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He went on to marry the love of his life Mary! They have been married for 67 years. They had two children Anthony and Celeste. James Vincent Nigro was known for his love and commitment to his family which was first and foremost in his life. He was an exemplary salesman and kitchen designer. He loved being a pilot and flying planes recreationally, boating, scuba diving, vacationing with his children and grandchildren, and simply just having a meal with his family. James Vincent Nigro is survived by his wife Mary, his children Anthony and Celeste, son in law George, daughter in law Jodi, grandchildren Myles, Harrison, Jordan, Rachel, Zachary, Joshua, Stephanie and Justin, sister Louise and brother and sister-in-law Alex and Phyllis. Visitation will be held on Friday April 12th, 2024, 4-8 Pm ET at Sinatra Funeral Home 499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704. Mass of Chrisitan Burial on Saturday April 13 at 11AM at St. Ann's Church in Yonkers.
