Antonio "T" Demetrius Rodriguez, 63, was called home on April 8th, 2024, in Mt. Vernon NY.
Son to the late Elizabeth Woodson-Rodriguez from the Virgin Islands and Demetrius Rodriguez from Puerto Rico. Antonio "T" Demetrius Rodriguez was born at Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, NY on March 10th, 1961.
He graduated from Harry S. Truman High School Bronx, NY. Tony wore many hats when it came to occupations. As a master carpenter, he created exquisite kitchens and windows for elite homes on Long Island and Manhattan. Tony would always receive the highest praise for his work. Tony was the one called upon whenever a problem needed to be resolved. He Retired at the end of 2022. Tony's most recent gigs involved setting up wiring and sound equipment for performances.
Preceding him was his Mother and Father, Sisters Barbara Ann Boyd, Andrea Blake- Rodriguez and brother James Delton Boyd. He was survived by his wife Elizabeth Negron, his two daughters Sheena Rodriguez, and Samantha Morales, two sons Jarett Rodriguez and Nickolas Morales, three granddaughters Jalise Higinio, Savannah Morales and Selena Rodriguez, one Grandson Jaden Tarkenton. Two sisters Veronica Joan Boyd-Underwood from Virginia Beach, VA and Robin Dawkins Khan from Connecticut and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Tony was a deeply beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and good friend. His passing was sudden, unexpected and way too quick, leaving us unable to hug & kiss him and remind him how much we loved him as he was our biggest hero. Tony loved going to concerts, playing his drums and all percussion instruments. He also partnered with a studio in Mount Vernon, NY. Tony's passion was music regardless of the genre. He loved going to the beach and pools, where he would instantly dive right in and do his double flip. He also enjoyed traveling. Tony was also the family carpenter; everything came so naturally to him. Above all, spending time with his family was what kept Tony smiling and incredibly content.
It was his wish that we would laugh, reminisce, and smile together during this time. We invite you all to share any pictures or memories with the family.
Thank You and God Bless
