Obituary of Rose Marie Chiaverini
Please share a memory of Rose Marie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lifelong Yonkers resident, Rose Marie Chiaverini, passed away on April 17, 2024. She was born on July 14, 1929 to Thomas Chiaverini and Rose Caccivinia Chiaverini. She is predeceased in death by her parents and two brothers Falco and Joseph. She leaves behind two nieces (Rosemary and Kathlyn) and a nephew (Thomas), whom she adored.
Rose Marie was one of first residents at the Renee Burke House. She happily welcomed new friends there for 40 years. She loved her 15 Hamilton Ave (friends), they too, were her family.
Rose Marie was passionate about that which brought her the most joy. She was a devoted fan of Frank Sinatra and his music which began in the 1940s and continued through her last days. In fact, one of her proudest achievements was being an original Bobby-Soxer and often shared stories of sneaking down to the Paramount Theatre in downtown Manhattan and staying in the theatre the entire day.
Rose Marie's other passion was old movies and the Golden Age of Hollywood. She had a vast knowledge of a movie's history and an uncanny ability to bring life to the backstories of each film.
The New York Yankees was HER team and while she couldn't go to the stadium, she never missed a game.
All animals were precious to Rose Marie and this unconditional love was passed down to her nieces and nephew. Her love and respect of them and nature will be part of her legacy.
