Obituary of Anna Buonocore

Anna Buonocore, 103, of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024. Anna was born on October 24, 1920 in her cherished home town of Acerno, Italy to the late Alfonso Di Lascio and Maria Donata (Zottoli) Di Lascio. She is predeceased by her five siblings: Salvatore (late Carmela), Angelo (late Josephine), Alfonso (late Bessie), Gerardo (Assunta), and Paolo (late Palma). Anna was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Buonocore. They had seven children and shared over fifty years of marriage together. In the 1960's they all immigrated to New York. Anna dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and was a loving nonna to her 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She filled our homes with happiness, laughter, warm traditions, and delicious cooking that created countless beautiful memories. Anna is predeceased by her husband Antonio, her son Salvatore (Anna), her daughter Laura (Stephen), and her son Angelo (Eileen). She is survived by her children Aldo (late Elaina), Rosanna (late Luigi), Ettore (Luisa), and Mose (Anna). She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren: Anna (late Guido), Danielle, Loren (Chris), Antonio (Nadia), Marco, Oriana (Chris), Sergio (Maria), Stefania (Anthony), Robert (Heather), Giovanni, Paul, Andrew, and Silvia, as well as her great-grandchildren: Adriana, Alexander, Massimiliano, Aldo, Luigi, Mila, Santino, Matteo, Luigi, Gemma, Chiara, Henry, and Olivia. She will be missed and never forgotten.
