On Monday, April 29, 2024, The Cotillo family lost a remarkable soul. Pablo M. Cotillo, born in the picturesque town of Ancash, Peru, was the son of Felix and Consuelo Cotillo. His formative years were spent in his hometown, where he received his education and graduated from La Libertad High School. His journey, which began in this humble setting, would later take him to the heights of success and fulfillment.
Pablo was a man of remarkable dedication and perseverance. He embarked on his professional journey as a police officer, a role he served with unwavering commitment. Later, he transitioned into the field of education, becoming an English teacher in a high school. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable, leading him to pursue a bachelor's degree in law from a prestigious university in Lima, Peru.
After a fulfilling career, Pablo chose to spend his retirement years in New York, a decision driven by his desire to be closer to his children and grandchildren. Despite his declining health, his spirit remained strong, and he continued to embody his values of kindness and generosity. His love for reading and his unwavering willingness to help others will forever be etched in our memories. Rest in peace, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
