Judy Fosina of Yonkers, NY passed away very peacefully on May 7th, 2024, surrounded by her family at Calvary Hospital.  Judy fought a long battle of Multiple Sclerosis with her devoted husband Bob Fosina by her side every day all with an infectious smile and never with a complaint.  Having just celebrated her 80th birthday, she lived every day fully despite any challenge or limitations given her can do attitude and her love for her family.  

Judy was born in the Bronx, NY to Alfred and Jo Uhle.   She is survived by her husband Bob Fosina who she married 59 years ago on October 17th, 1964, where the two of them enjoyed a magical marriage for six decades.  She is also survived by her 3 children and their spouses; Bob Fosina, (Dorothy), Jim Fosina (Marina) and Kelliann Murphy ( Brian) as well as 8 grandchildren; Rae Ann Fosina, Christie Fosina, Brianna Murphy, Kellina Murphy, Mikayla Fosina, Bobby Fosina, Brian Murphy, and Michael Fosina.  She is survived by her sister Patricia Leopold and joins her other sister Mary Uhle who predeceased her in 2015. 

A graduate of Aquinas High School in the Bronx (1961) and St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing (1964) as a Registered Nurse, Judy was passionate about her career and loved working as a Neonatal Nurse at New Rochelle Hospital before retiring in 1991.

Judy was an avid bowler always ready for the next game, enjoyed gardening, painting, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles and finding a friendly slot machine in her travels with Bob to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and Aruba.   But there was nothing she enjoyed more than loving her grandchildren where “Nanny” never held back and lived to spoil them without ever needing a reason.
