Obituary of Arduino Venturini

Please share a memory of Arduino to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Arduino was born in Tagliacozzo, Italy in 1934

In 1971 he decided to leave Italy and start a new life in the USA with his wife Maria and three small children, Donna, Marco and Annalisa. He lived in Mount Vernon, NY for a short period of time and then moved to Yonkers, NY and started his life there with his family in a small rented apartment. He started working as a painter which was his trade.

Things were not easy but dad always worked hard to give us what he could. In 1975 he bought our house in Yonkers, NY. The house needed a lot of work and little by little rebuilt the house from the ground up adding a whole new floor to it.

Dad or known to people as "Dino" was always proud of his many accomplishments.

He was very devoted to his family and was all about making us happy.

He had a great life, his hobbies were many, but the most things he enjoyed very much were making wine with his son Marco, working on his tomato and vegetable garden and hunting in Oneonta .

It will be impossible to forget his good sense of humor and his one liners. He was always the life of the party.

On May 26, 2024 he lost his battle with dementia and congestive heart failure. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. We are left with a broken heart but are very grateful to have had a wonderful father. We are filled with gratitude for all he did for us and the love he gave us.

We will miss him forever…
