Josephine Jean Lanzano, a resident of Hawthorne, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024 at the age of 96. She was born on April 17, 1928 to Michael and Lena(Perrone) Russo.

Josephine was married to her loving husband, Louis Lanzano, for over 50 years. Louis preceded her in death on December 5, 2007.

She worked for many years as a school bus monitor for the Haverstraw School District. Josephine enjoyed bowling and loved to shop. She had a great sense of humor and could never fail to make you laugh.

Josephine is survived by her 3 loving children, Lorraine DeFrancis(Ronnie), Donna Petrillo(Michael), & Dominick Lanzano(Colleen). Her 6 adoring grandchildren, John(Rachel), Christina, Brittney(Robert),Nicole,  Anthony, Danielle and Sophia. She is also survived by her 7 great-grandchildren that she loved very much, Benjamin, Gianna, Danny, Gabriella, Hannah, Harrison, and Alayah.

Josephine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
