Obituary of Victor Mejia

Victor Mejia was born in Santo Domingo, DN., Dominican Republic in 1968. He lived there during his childhood years. As a teenager he moved to New York with his mother and brother. He went to George Washington High School where he played baseball. He earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education from The City University of New York, and a Master's Degree of Science in Education from Herbert H. Lehman College from the same institution. He had a true calling for teaching young children. He worked for school PS.55 for many years before transferring to PS. 73x in the Bronx where he continued to work before his passing. He found the love of his live more than 10 years ago, his wife Mary. True love at first sight and became inseparable. Always loving, caring and protecting each other. He enjoyed staying at home. Taking long walks with his wife early in the early morning. Drinking a cup of coffee with his wife. He was a lover of nature. He loved music, dancing, movies and listening to the news. He was a great cook. He loved to prepare meals for his family. A was a true Yankees fan. During spring season, he loved to coach and see his son Danyel playing baseball and his daughter Danielly playing softball. The sport he loved since childhood. So, proud of how good kids they both are and all their accomplishments. He was very proud of all his children. Loved them all unconditionally. During summers he loved to travel to the Jersey Shores to relax and have fun with Mary, Danyel and Danielly. He loved to take them on road trips. He loved to joke around specially with his mother in-law, Lily and father in-law, Manuel and made them laugh. He was an amazing husband and father. Love by many. Always so positive. A true angel. He always had a smile and so fun to be around. A great friend. Loyal. Always willing to lend his advice to family, colleagues, and friends. Always helping others selflessly. He is survived by the love of his life his wife Mary Mejia and his five children he loves and adores Danielly, Danyel and from previous relationships Glenn, Amber and Jayden and other extended family. You are loved beyond words. You will be truly missed. We had the best time of our lives. We will see you again. This is not a goodbye.
