Antonio "Nino" Severo, 95 years of age, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his wife Antonia, survived by his six children Tony, Bruno (Barbara), Preziosa, Carlo (Carolyn), Anna Maria (Gianni) & Alessandro (Rosa) and his seventeen grandchildren and one great grandson who all loved and adored him He was born on August 30, 1929 in Bagaladi, Reggio Calabria, Italy where he began his life working hard for his family at a young age of 16. He was the patriarch of his family. He came to America in July of 1956 where he settled in Yonkers NY, and continued to work hard and bring his mother, brothers and sisters to America. He was employed by the Labor's Union until he started his own landscaping company which is still successful today. His passion included building his Nativity Scene (Prespio), hunting which he enjoyed with all four of his sons, building his dream country house one stone at a time with his family which he named "Bagaladi Ranch", growing his garden (gardino) with fruit trees and vegetables but most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, truly a legend.
