William Frederick Scalley, 92, of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully on Friday October 4, 2024, at home. William was born in Manhattan, NY on November 24, 1931, to Edna (nee Derby) and William A. Scalley, before moving to the Visitation Parish section of the Bronx. Bill graduated from Manhattan College in 1953, then served in the Army. He had a long career as an accountant specializing in marine shipping, retiring in 1989. He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Yonkers. Above all, Bill was devoted to Patricia, his wife of 56 years, as well as his family. He is already deeply missed. William was predeceased by his sister Edna O'Brien. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, sons William Scalley of Valhalla, NY and Daniel Scalley and his wife Eblin, of Tuckahoe NY; and his three daughters, Mary Scalley of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY; Jeanne Scalley and her husband Jeff Carovillano of Manchester, MA; and Ann McKeon and her husband Phil of Eastchester, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Leia, Erin, Megan, Brigid, Liam, Bodin, Isabel, Claire, Daniel, and Michael. There will be a wake on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 3-7pm at Sinatra Funeral Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY. Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony's Church, 10 Squire Avenue, Yonkers, NY, at 10:00am on Tuesday October 8, 2024.
