On Monday, September 23, 2024, Billy (Mingo) Couch departed this life in Yonkers, New York. Billy (Mingo) was born in Petersburg, Virginia, on April 8, 1957, into the loving arms of the late Richard and Lucille Couch. Years later, the family relocated to Yonkers, NY.

Billy (Mingo) attended Yonkers public school system. As an adult, he performed a variety of jobs, including construction and roofing. Billy (Mingo) had a great deal of respect and affection from both his family and the community.

Billy is survived by his two sons, Dewan and Trevon Couch Sr., and his daughter-in-law Kelly McRae-Couch; (3) grandchildren, Makayla Couch, Trevon Couch Jr., and Isaiah Bunch (all of Alexandria, VA); (1) sister Rosalee Couch of Yonkers, NY; (2) brothers Richard Couch of Mt. Vernon, NY; and Walgus Couch of Petersburg, VA; 4 sisters-in-law: Marion Couch of Yonkers, NY; Virginia Couch of Petersburg, VA; Michelle Couch of Mt. Vernon, NY, (1) God brother and sister Carl and Jennie Davis of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by (5) brothers Donald Couch, Timothy Couch, David Couch, Bernard Couch, James Couch Sr.; (6) sisters Jacqueline Couch, Lottie Couch, Brenda Couch Morton, Joanette Huguet, Bernice Haskins, and Grace Morrison
