It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna "Ann" Dugan, who died on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the age of 89. Born on November 4, 1934 to the late John and Gertrude Gladis, Ann was a life-long resident of Yonkers, New York.She married the love of her life, the late Lawrence D. Dugan, Sr., on March 15, 1955. Ann was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Larry and Ellen, and she adored and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked in many positions during her lifetime, including as a cashier at Market City as well as a meat wrapper at Finest Supermarket. Additionally, she worked for her son-in-law, Mike, as a hostess at Morley's Steak and Seafood Restaurant and at the restaurant / snack bar at Dunwoodie Golf Course.
Ann enjoyed cooking for her family, dancing, playing cards, bingo, laying out in the sun, traveling, going on cruises and trips to the casino. Ann was always willing to lend a listening ear and always made her loved ones feel special. Her wisdom, loyalty, loving heart and warm smile will forever be cherished.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Dugan, Sr., her parents, John and Gertrude Gladis; and her siblings, Joseph Gladis and Barbara Autero.
She is survived by her children, Larry Dugan, Jr. (Jennifer) and Ellen (Mike) Morley; grandchildren Sarah (Josh) Thomson, Linda (Sal) Truzzolino, Larry Dugan III (Erica) and Kathleen Morley; and great-grandchildren Ryan and Juliana Dugan and Olivia and Hailey Thomson; as well as her extended family.
Family and friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 4-8 pm. A Prayer Service will be held at Sinatra Memorial Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 10:30 am, followed by a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.
