On December 24, 2024, Esther ("Pat") Narvesen, 100, of Somers, New York, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Rochelle, New York on January 29, 1924 to the late Saverio and Rose LaBianca, Pat was one of seven children. She graduated New Rochelle High School with high honors. Pat married H. Leif ("Leif") Narvesen on February 13, 1944. They made their home in New Rochelle for many years, before relocating to Greenville, South Carolina. Pat was an avid reader, and loved solving all sorts of puzzles. She loved to knit, crochet and needlepoint, and created many beautiful things. She loved to garden and was the President of the Greenville Garden Club. They returned to New Rochelle, NY in 1989. Her husband, Leif passed away in March, 1998. Pat remained in New Rochelle until 2022, when she moved to Somers. Pat's greatest love was for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her deep devotion and her love for her family was truly admirable. Pat is pre-deceased by her husband, H. Leif Narvesen, and her two sons, Leif P. Narvesen, and Eric Narvesen. She is survived by her children, Carl Narvesen (Grace), John Narvesen (Mark), and Ingrid Senno (Henry), and her grandchildren, Desiree, Eric (Connie), Scott, Randi, Robyn, Carl, Jr. (Theresa), Stephen (Stacy), Tom, Joe, Lauren (Andrew), Frank (Kelly), Anthony (Jaimie), Joseph (Chelsea), and Brenna; and 18 great-children, her sister Nettie (Tom), and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Westchester/Putnam.
