Obituary of Edward Patane

Edward Patane’ a long time resident of Armonk, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024 at the age of 75.
Ed was a graduate of West Lake H.S., and continued his education at Westchester Community College receiving an AAS in criminal justice and an AS in business management.
He pursued his career with the North Castle Police Department, where he served as a police officer and served for many years as a K-9 officer with his devoted K-9 Duke then Barrow. After retirement he continued to honor the men and women blue by actively serving as President of the Police Columbia Association for many years. He also was on the board of the NYP&FR.
Ed was a man of great faith, serving as head ushering at St. Patrick’s in Bedford for many years.
In 1984 he met the love of his life Donna(Miller) Patane’ , they married in 1985 and just celebrated their 39th anniversary. Together they shared many years of happiness. They loved hosting large gatherings with family and friends. Ed especially loved his yearly pig roast on Labor Day.
Ed had a love of car and shared that with his father, brother, uncle’s and cousins. He belonged to many car clubs, but the one he enjoyed the most was the “ROMEO’s (retired old men eating out) they met every Thursday for breakfast and solved all of the world problems. He also loved everything history. If you had a question on history or the catholic religion Ed was your go to guy.
Ed is survived by his wife Donna (miller) Patane’ and his special boy Charlie, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He is pre deceased by his mother and father ( Frank and Antoinette Patane’ and his brother Frank Patane’
