With deep sorrow, tearful eyes, and unwavering trust that if we die, we have hope of being with the Lord Jesus, where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no groaning, we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, Rafqa (Helena) Jreiss Khoury Al-Sayegh, widow of the late Aboud Khalil Al-Rabadi. She was the loving mother of:
• Anwar, married to Fareeda Badr
• Ibrahim, married to Fayrouz Maqtash
• Khalil, married to Rasha Rabadi
• Jaleel, married to Dinara Masoud
• Elias, married to Rita Keela
• Abdullah
And her daughters:
• Zahour, widow of the late Muteb Daoud
• Aida, married to Rizk Tashman
• Amal, widow of the late Khader Al-Atrash
• Mona, married to Raed Hajazin
• Dina, married to Khalil Al-Rabadi
She departed for the heavenly abode on the morning of Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in the city of Yonkers, New York, after a long and pious life, fulfilling her religious duties. She will rest beside those who preceded her among our ancestors and forefathers.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Yonkers (10701-20 Buckingham Rd).
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Sinatra Memorial Home (601 Yonkers Ave) from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Condolences will be accepted on Wednesday and Thursday at her son Ibrahim's residence (100 Clarendon Ave) from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The third and ninth-day memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, immediately following the Divine Liturgy.
