Rosemary DeMarzo died peacefully on July 16, 2010. She was 86 years old. Rosemary was born on October 23, 1923 in New York, NY to Gemma and Harry Guido. She is a graduate of St. Peter's High School in Staten Island, and St. Vincent's School of Nursing in New York. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital and in local Westchester hospitals. Beloved wife of Joseph L. DeMarzo, and loving sister to the late Rt. Rev. Msgrs. John L. Guido and William F. Guido. She leaves behind four children, Joanne (Timothy) Boyle, Joseph (Denise) DeMarzo, Mary Ellen (Carlos) Sanchez, and William (Marianne) DeMarzo, and seven grandchildren, Carla, Jacqueline, John, Timothy, Joseph, William, and Thomas. Friends may call at the Sinatra Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bartholomew Church on Monday, July 19 at 10 AM. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell, 525 East 68th Street, Box 123, New York NY 10021.
