Joseph Lischinsky On Tuesday October 12th 2010 our Friend and Father passed away at his home.He was 81 years old. Joseph was born December 25,1928 to Peter and Mary Lischinsky in Bronx, NY. Joe was an avid boater, fisherman and hunter. He served proudly as a Combat Merchant Marine-World War II, receiving the Atlantic War Zone Award, Pacific War Zone Award, Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Award and the Victory Medal. He was a machine gunner in the US Army's 7th Infantry Division during the Korean War receiving the Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart, Bronze Battle Star and Korean Medal-U.N. Medal. Former Liuetenant for the Chappaqua Fire Department, member of Armonk American Legion and Disabled Veterans Association. Retired superintendent for the Town of New Castle Water Department. The family would like to tahnked the Boles and Muccioli families for their kindness and care. On September 16 1950 he married Nancy Marzella who predeceased him in 2004. Beloved father to Jo-Anne (Edward) Gauthier ofPleasant Valley, Nancy (Paul) Speidell of Bedford Hills, Joseph P (Denise Hammond) Lischinsky of Hyde Park and John P (Nancy) Lischinsky of Gardner. Cherished granfather to James Gauthier, Jeanne Gauthier, Andrew Speidell, Amy Speidell, Claire Lischinsky and Stephen Lischinsky. He was also predeceased by 7 Brothers and Sisters. Friends may call Friday 4-8 pm at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. Funeral service Saturday 9:30 am at the funeral home. Internment Oakwood cemetery.
