Mikolaj Drozd, a 40 years resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY died peacefully on November 18, 2010 at the age of 84. For 30 years he was the supervisor of the tailors at the Metropolitan Opera House, where he designed and made costumes for notables such as Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and David Bowie among others. He retired in 1996. Beloved husband of Helen Drozd. Devoted father of Richard (Catherine) Drozd of Hastingson-Hudson, Mitch Drozd of Poland and Ella Borysuk of Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear brother of Vala Dolkowsko of Poland. Cherished grandfather of Kuba Drozd, Eliza Borysuk and Lindsay and Katie Drozd. Friends may call at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring Street on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service on Monday at 10 am at the Funeral Home followed by interment at Mt Hope Cemetery .
