Sarah Elizabeth Nedd affectionately know to all as "Mama Sarah" passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 22, 2010 at the age of 88. She was born the youngest of five children on December 12, 1922, to the union of Benjamin and Elizabeth Dabbs in Harlem, New York. Sarah received her formal education in the New York City Public School System. Sarah married Rudolf Nedd in 1939. This union was blessed with two children.
In 1946 Sarah moved to the city of Yonkers and in 1957 had her third child .She remained a resident until 2007 when she moved to Elmira, NY.
She was faithful member of The Salvation Army Yonkers Citadel for over 40 years where she served in many areas of the church but was must proud of being a Senior Solider and Home League Treasurer.
In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, and entertaining friends and family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three children Norma Walker, Beatrice Clark, and Benjamin Nedd; four step-children, thirteen grandchildren; Twenty-Six great-grandchildren; Nine great great-grandchildren and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
