Obituary of Ellen H. Azzaretti

Please share a memory of Ellen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ellen G. Azzaretti (nee Holliday) of Brewster, N.Y. passed away on January 24, 2011. She was 58 years old. Ellen was born in Manhattan to Robert and Florence (Ogostalick) Holliday and was raised in Mount Kisco, N.Y. Ellen and her husband Charles were both dentists and practiced together in Mount Kisco. She is survived by her husband Charles, two sons Lawrence and Gregory, two brothers Robert and Joseph Holliday and her mother Florence Holliday of Mount Kisco. She was predeceased by her father Dr. Robert W. Holliday. In May 2010 Ellen's eldest son Lawrence was married and she joyfully welcomed her new daughter-in-law Lindsey (Cant) into the family. Ellen attended Fox Lane High School and received her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College. She received DDS and MPH degrees from Columbia University. Ellen was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and served on the altar guild for many years. Most importantly Ellen was a loving wife, mother and also advocate, advisor, confidante and source of consolation to her extended family - especially her mother and brothers. Her passing is an inestimable loss to two extended families and a wide circle of friends. Her smile, kindness, and tender words will never be forgotten and will be deeply missed. That such a one could be taken so soon speaks to the frailty of life. That such a one could be in the world is a hope for us all. There will be a Memorial Service for Ellen at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 26 Prospect St., Brewster, N.Y. on Saturday February 5, 2011 at 2 PM.
