Dawn Mare Weis of Shrub Oak and formally of Yonkers,NY died on January 25, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was 42 years old. Dawn was born on June 14, 1968 in Yonkers, NY. She was a graduate of Fox Lane High School and Berkley College. She worked in the registrar office at Mercy college in Dobbs Ferry. She is survived by her mother Arlene (John Allen) Ricci, father Harry Weis, brothers and sisters, Cynthia Weis Gerber, Harry, Robert (Annette), and Arlene Drago, loving aunt Carol (Mario), nieces and nephews, Harry, James, Jimmy, John, Joseph, Alexandra and Emily, also her long time love and companion Gerard Cara. Reposing at the Sinatra Funeral Home from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Sunday. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:45 AM on Monday at St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers,NY. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
