Sergio Perez, born and raised in Cuba and a longtime resident of Yonkers, entered eternal rest on March 6, 2011 after a long illness, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 27, 1932, to the late Florentina and Francisco Perez.
Mr. Perez is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Dolores Perez, daughters, Elisa (Fernando) Ospina and Aimee (Alfredo) Maldonado, grandchildren Eric and Amanda Ospina, and Samantha and Sergio Maldonado. He is also survived by his sisters, Cira Dominguez and Angela Garcia, both of Miami, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. He touched the lives of all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at the Sinatra Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. A religious service will take place at St Mary's Church, Yonkers on Wednesday at 10am.
