Obituary of Marianna Furfaro

Maria Furfaro ( nee Pellegrino ) passed away on March 31, 2011 at her home in Brewster , N.Y. Maria was in Yonkers born August 24 , 1952 . Maria was predeceased by her husband Domenico ( Mico ) Furfaro in 1987 and paternal father Dominick Pellegrino. Maria attended Yonkers Schools graduating from Commerce High School . For many years Maria was employed by New York Telephone Company , in Yonkers and recently was employed for the past 15 years with the Mt. Kisco Medical Group , in Katonah , N. Y. Maria is survived by her son Raffaele , residing in Canada , along with her parents , Emma and Otello Pozzi of Yonkers ; brothers Frank ( Marianne ) Pellegrino of New Jersey ; Mauro (Margarita ) Pozzi of Australia ; sisters Albina ( Bill ) Mascetta of Yonkers ; Maila ( Sauro ) Columbi of Italy . Maria loved and was loved dearly by her nieces and nephews ; Jennifer Pellegrino ; Amanda , William and Anthony Mascetta . Maria will be remembered for her love of family , great cuisine and gardening and beautiful flowers . She treasured her home and was often admired about her passion for perfection in all its d?cor and appointments . Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral Mass Monday at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30AM.
