Helen Pagano never married.
She never birthed a child.
However, to the many children she devoted her life to she was a far better, understanding and compassionate care giver than most natural mothers.
She will live on in their hearts and memories as long as they live.
I was one of those fortunate children and I will be forever grateful.
Rest in Peace Aunt Dolly.

Aunt Dolly, I can honestly say, that I don't think I have a single memory from Valentine Lane that doesn't include you.Whether sitting on your lap playing cards, or watching Saturday morning wrestling with you, I know that your impact on us was more than you ever could have imagined. Later on, you were great enough to share some of the cooking secrets and recipes that were in the family for so long with me, and I hope that I can do them some justice, and maybe share them with Justin so that another generation can appreciate some of the great things that we all enjoyed as a family. I love you, and you will forever be in my heart and mind. Tell Grandma and Poppa to keep an eye on my boy with you, Lord knows he needs it......

Love is an abstract, it cannot be measured. It is not quantifiable or absolute.
Love is your impact on the lives of those that you touch.
Whatever I may be is better because you and my extended family in heaven were a part of it.
You were always in my heart.. even when I did not know it.
Your love and compassion will always be a part of me.
