Rui M. Vares, a longtime Yonkers resident died on May 16, 2011. Rui was born on May 26, 1961 in Madeira Portugal. He was a friend to many, but adored by his eight year old, Anthony Lawrence Vares, whom he shared with Trisha Ricci. He is also survived by his loving parents, Manuel and Maria Vares and by a sister, Liliana (Jack) Dos Santos and by a brother, Carlos (Laura) Vares. Three nieces and one nephew also survive. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Monastery Church on Friday at 10:30am. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
