Elizabeth "Betty" Gomez (Bova), a lifetime Yonkers resident died on June 23, 2011. Born on April 10, 1922 to Joseph and Anna (Chiaverini) Bova, she was 89. For many years, she was a beautician, then worked for Ruckle Pontiac and the Board of Education, retiring in 1984. Beloved wife of the late Lou Gomez. Devoted sister of Giovina "Jean" Placidi, and the late Louise Liberatori and Joseph Bova. Loving aunt of Louis and Joseph Liberatori, Donald Placidi, Joseph Bova, Barbara Yapchanyk, Betsy Kis and Paula Rossi. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church (Nepera Park) on Monday at 10 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
