Joanne Sabino of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully Saturday morning, January 14, 2012, with her sister by her side.
Joanne was born on July 24, 1950 in the Bronx, NY. She attended Edgemont High School in Scarsdale and Berkeley Secretarial School in White Plains. She worked for many years as a head teller at Chase Manhattan Bank. Joanne moved to Florida in 1980 and worked at The Boca Raton Hotel in the Engineering Department. She made friends everywhere she went. Joanne reunited with her son, Mark, upon returning to New York. Mark and his wife Gina have a beautiful daughter, Gianna. Joanne loved being with family and friends. She enjoyed gatherings at the pool, shopping, dining out, and babysitting for her nephews. She loved being called "Grandma Bean" and "Aunt Joanne."
Joanne is survived by her son Mark and his wife Gina, her loving mother, Rene Call, and her devoted sister, Linda Norris. Also surviving are her granddaughter, Gianna, her nephew Joseph Norris and his wife Carol Sue and their daughter Rebecca Burring, her nephew Michael Norris and his wife, Jessica, and their children Jimmy and Tommy. Joanne is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
