To Pop:
It's our first Christmas without you, but we know that you're still here,
Our hearts they still feel empty,
As we move towards the new year,
We truly miss your smile,
Like a Christmas tree so bright,
But when we look up to the heavens,
We know you are alright.
May God grant you His eternal gladness.

Richie's Eulogy:
"We've heard so many kind words about my father in the last few days, I'd like to say a few myself. Thank you to all who came to pay their respects. Whether you knew him as Angelo, Sonny, Dad, Pop-Pop, or Tony, because of his resemblance to Tony Bennett until he would sing, he will be sorely missed! Dad truly loved his family, friends, and even after a while he couldn't hide his affection for the pets. He was very proud. Proud of his country, proud of his Italian heritage, and proud of his family. As a parent, like all us parents, he wanted his children to do better than him. When I chose to be an electrician like him, he was very proud and he taught me many things about the trade I will never forget. He was very proud of his 4 grandchildren, and got to see Michael and Stefanie graduate college. He will look down and see Morgan and Emily do the same. He adored and enjoyed them. He was at all they were involved with, and didn't hold anything against Stefanie for being a diehard Mets fan. Denise and I were very fortunate with our upbringing thanks to mom and dad. These last 2 months have been very difficult for us all especially dad, although he would never let anyone know or feel his pain. I remember as a kid when my parents friends were over, the guys would play some game where they scream numbers out in Italian. I never understood that game, but now that dads with them, the games back on!
As we go through life's journey, 1 thing we seek but many don't experience enough is happiness! Dad found happiness being with mom, and thankfully they did everything with each other. To mom and dads many, many friends, continue the friendship with mom, and help us all through the difficult times ahead.
It will be a while until we can have a good hearty laugh, because right now our hearts are badly hurt, but in time they will heal!
I followed in my fathers footsteps as an electrician. I can only hope to follow in his footsteps as a father. Rest In Peace Angelo, Sonny, Dad, Pop, Tony, or however he was known by the lucky person he would just sit down with and talk to. We love you!"

Mr. D. was so cool you could call him Angelo or Sonny. I always called him Mr. D out of respect.
Growing up he was always around making sure we were having fun.
He took me to my fist Yankee game and my first Ranger game.
He took me and Richie crabbing for blue crabs. He laughed at our sad attempt to build a go cart then helped us make it right.
He built us a basketball hoop and hockey goals and he made the best chocolate milk.
Coolest Dad on Oxford road. He will be missed but never forgotten.
