Angelo "Sonny" DeGasperi
A long time Hastings-on-Hudson resident died peacefully on July 1 2012. He was born in Yonkers, NY to Dominic and Aminda (Picani) DeGasperi on August 30, 1932. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Naomi (DeStefano) DeGasperi, loving children Richard (Jayne) DeGasperi, Denise (George) Kettenacker, adored "Pop" of Michael and Morgan DeGasperi and Stefanie and Emily Kettenacker. Angelo was a retired member of Local Union # 501 and #3 IBEW. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1955. He was an active member of Armando Rauso Amvets Post # 40 and Hastings Southside Club. Sonny is also survived by sisters Anne Venzi, Helen Pizzi, and brother Dominic DeGasperi. He will be missed by his many dear friends. Friends may call at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring St, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706 on Thursday July 5, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral mass at St. Matthew R.C. Church in Hastings-on-Hudson on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
