Dear Nonno,
Salve!
I Love and miss you so much!
I always try not to make a fuss.
You don't know how much I wish you were still here,
And how often I shed a tear.
If only I could see your face one more time,
I would climb a mountain and ring a chime,
In memory of seeing your face one more time.
You were not just my Grandfather, but my friend too
And personally I think it was too soon
What you are in this family is the Glue,
Who keeps this family together and always will be no matter what
And for you I would jump over the moon.
I miss you, your smile, and your warmest hugs that always made me feel better.
I miss the days I got to play catch with you.
I miss the days you got to hold me as a baby
I miss you going to great lengths to make me happy, even if it involved help from the family.
I miss the days we shared, from birthdays to holidays. Oh there is so much more that I could say, but the poem just means seven simple words in one! They are: I Miss You and I Love You.
Rest in Peace.
