Dear Bro. Jack, Denise and Family,
I wish you peace and healing. I have no words to express my sorrow for your loss. I am happy that I had the chance to meet your mom when Bro. Jack brought her to the office for lunch around Thanksgiving. I had heard so many stories about her and I was so surprised to see this little petite person because I imagined her to be a much stronger and larger than life person. But big things come in little packages. Listening to her and Bro. Jack go back and forth with each other was so funny and sweet. But you knew who was boss.
Every morning when Bro Jack is in the office, I would hear her call him on his cell ….. that is because you could hear the special song he gave her as a ringtone. I’m sorry I won’t hear that again. My prayers are with you all and I like to think of your mom being with your dad watching over you.

Love, Marie

Dear Jack, Denise & family,
My heart and prayers go out to all of you. Your Mom will be missed by so many, myself included. The only thing big enough to match her heart and hospitality were the giant platters of antipasto she would so lovingly & graciously prepare. I will never forget the family dinners and her gentleness, compassion, faith, incredible cooking, quiet laughter, and selflessness. I'm sorry I can't be there in person, but know I'm there in spirit from St. Louis.
Love, hugs & prayers,
Brian

I only recently had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Ventura. It was at a Thanksgiving meal and she was told to sit and relax. That didn’t sit well with her, she couldn’t sit back and watch the others try to put a meal on the table. She shared stories about Jack Ralph and Denise growing up. Her face lit up when she talked about her family. You could feel the love in that room as they laughed and joked with each other. Teri has blessed our memories forever sharing her love with us all.

Her kind hearted nuturing way, and unconditional love made us all feel so special. She will be missed. Thoughts of times spent with her will always warm my heart and put a smile on my face. All good stuff! May happy memories and love of those around you help you through the days ahead. My deepest sympathies to all of you on your loss.

Now picture this. When we started dating, my first dinner at Denise’s parents house, I am greeted by this huge man, Mr. Ventura, so I am a bit nervous.
Not more than 10 minutes into dinner, I realize who the real boss is and whom I need to impress, little Mrs. Ventura. So after dinner I bring the plates to the sink and start washing the dishes. By my side, Mrs. Ventura starts giving me tips on how to wash the plates, utensils and glassware efficiently.
Right then and there I knew I was ‘in’. Mr. V probably got in trouble that night for telling me to ‘sit down’ and hang with him.
After getting to know Ma V. I came to realized the woman had no agenda. She was the real deal. What you see is what you get. A little dynamo with a heart of gold. Now on the other hand, Dad V. had lots of agendas, but never got over on Teri! She kept ‘Cheech’ (‘Chouch’) in his place.
Ma V. was so kind to my mother, especially after my father passed away, having her for weekly Sunday dinners. Ma V. made my mother feel like part of her own family. Ma V. just had a way about her that made everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
I will miss her very much!.
