Theresa "Teri" M. Ventura, age 81, of Yonkers died Friday, July 26, 2013. Teri was born April 12, 1932 in the Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Nordone) Carpentieri. Beloved wife of the late Frank J. Ventura. Loving mother of Denise (Kevin) Matthews of Putnam Valley, NY and Bro. Jack Ventura, S.M. of Philadelphia, PA. Cherished grandmother of Brendan Matthews. Dear sister of Joe (Bea) Carpentieri, Ralph (Catherine) Carpentieri and the late Patsy, Rose, Ann and Angelo. Sister-in-law of Gloria, Lena, Paula and the late Lucy. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, friends and neighbors. She was the second mother, grandmother and aunt to many.
Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave Yonkers on Monday from 5 to 9PM and Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM . Christian Wake service on Tuesday, 7:30 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday 11:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Marianist Mission of the US, 1341 N. Delaware Avenue, Suite 301, Philadelphia, PA, 19125.
