Rest in peace Marie. I believe you knew my parents, back in the 70s. If you are the right Marie Bivona, you were my father undewriter for auto insurance. I was a little girl. I always wondered what happened to Marie Bivona, after my father passed in 1986. May your soul be at peace.

I am so sorry , I believe Mary Bivona to be a cousin of mine. Her sister Ann and I met in Ireland when we visited our Grandmother before Ann joined the sisters back in 1960.My father was Thomas McDonnell. Please if you can say hello to Ann for me as I would love to hear from her again if it's at all possible . Thank you and please pass on my deepest sympathy to all family members. Elaine Knobbs.

Dearest Mary,
It is Christmas Eve '14. In your memory and in honor of your charming annual Santa campaign, I kept up the tradition and delivered gifts of cookies to the seniors at the Woodstock, earlier today.
Your sweet face, feisty words of wisdom and heart of gold are remembered everyday by so, so many that you have touched.
We all miss you and talk of you so fondly each time I visit at St. John the Baptist--Jennifer, Joe, your special helper/dear friend Angelo, Rebecca and today Kathy S.--
I believe you were God's angel here and are an even more powerful angel in heaven...making miracles happen for each of us. I feel it all around, I can still hear your voice... How can I say thanks?
Sending Christmas love from us all.

Mary was and always will be my inspiration and guiding light. She was forever showing God's love in action to those in need by serving the homeless and less fortunate in mid-town. God bless you Mary!

Mary...the loving face of St. John's...the beacon in the darkness...the prayer in the middle of the night...the guide toward all that was genuine and true. Every moment spent helping you was an adventure and a joy. Thank you for being my inspiring friend, for sharing your heart felt mission, and for never ever giving up. Your legacy will live on each time we share the love you exemplified. Dear friend, I will miss you so much, but I know you have found the peace that is far beyond understanding of those you left on earth.

For over 35 years, Mary organized a "Santa for the Elderly" with Middle Scool students at the Convent of the Sacred Heart. For the last four years, the project took place on Valentine's Day. Even while in the hospice, Mary made sure the girls would connect with the elderly in need. She was truly a woman who served others. We will keep her in our prayers.
