Mary J. Bivona, age 75, of New York died Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Mary was born July 19, 1938 in New York, the daughter of the late John and Nora (McDonnell) Bivona. Beloved sister of Sr. Ann Veronica Bivona, RSM. Loving niece of the late Rosaria ( Sadie) Martucci, Joseph Bivona, Frank Bivona, Frances Feaser, Salvatore Bivona, Thomas Bivona and Charles Bivona. Dear cousin of Mary, Jo-Ann, Anthony, Jo-Ellen, Kathy, Rita, Joseph, Lucy, Philip, Richard, Theresa, Patrick, Norann, Mary, Barbara, Thomas, Wendy, Donna, John and the late Joseph, Frances, Vincent and Charles. Mary served the Catholic Charities for many years as a social worker and then served the community of St. John the Baptist in NYC. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Most Revrend Gerald T. Walsh on Monday at 10:00 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1914 Morris Ave, Bronx. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside.
