Hi John. I have been thinking of you and your mom. After so many years I still would wonder how you are. I've been packing for a move and I came across the cutest pictures of us as kids. I always hoped you have been doing well, and now I just recently heard of your loss and I must say, as a little girl I quite remember how he would light up when he talked about his van, even back then. My sincerest condolences and prayers are with you and I truly wish you well – your cousin, Denise.

There was no one with a bigger heart than you, John. When you walked in the room, you became the center of attention. You dished it out to everybody, including the mailman, but you could take it too with a smile.
You were Johnny-on-the-Spot when someone needed a favor or was in a jam. With that big van and hand truck, there was nothing you couldn't do. You were the most generous person ever. John, you were taken from us so quickly we didn't even get to say goodbye. We still can't believe you're gone. We'll miss you and think of you everyday. What a great guy! Our sympathy goes out to Marie and John. He was so proud of both of you. May he rest in peace.

The best man I could ever know!!!!!! Big John I haven't known you that long but, I always thought you were the best. You always made jokes with me about my hair you said "I'm going to cut your hair off and put it on a key chain." And sometimes you would just say "I'm going to cut some of your hair off and put it on my head." You always made me laugh. Those memories will be my mind and heart forever. You really are the best

Big John is like a father to me, I'm so grateful to have known him & for the good he's done for not only me...but all he touched. I know him for the gentleness in his huge heart & saw him do things he didn't know I saw. I keep him in my heart til I meet him again, & in my prayers every night. There is an empty space in the heart, but I know he'll greet everyone who loved him when it's time to go home. I love you John.

My first memory of John Sr was when John Jr. Busted his ankles. Where Sr. Did what he had to to get him home. That including Jr whipping back and forth in the back of the van like a rag doll. He was a good man and made an impact on many life's. All my wishes to to the family members.

"Big John" - Can't believe your gone. You are missed more than you can ever imagine. All of our mutual friends, who shared morning coffee and conversation at the deli with you just about every day, now begin the day with heavy hearts. You were one of the most kind and generous persons I ever met. Helping others gave you great joy and you helped others whenever you could. Even during your last weeks when you were getting increasingly weaker you were more concerned about helping others with their needs. It was and honor and privilege to be your friend. Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences to John's family on his passing. I didn't know John personally but I lived right up the street from him and always would see him driving his van with his custom license plate. I have heard what a nice person he was. May his family find comfort during this difficult time and may John have eternal peace and rest.

Dad....I am in disbelief that you were taked from us this way and so sudden. Im not ready to come to the fact that we wont be together anymore. You were ALWAYS there for me at the drop of a dime WHATEVER it was .....you made it your priority and made it happen PERIOD. You treated me the opposite of what you were used to and was big hearted extremely generous person to all, I could NOT have asked for a better father. You always had a passion for your "vans" and making them unique. From a small child to today ..I always known you to have the custom van all tricked out and had to have you favorite thing "chrome" shiny parts. We enjoyed all the custom truck/van ideas & modifications that we both liked so much. You instilled that passion into me, plus taught me from a child my mechanical abilities by working with you on weekends & summers. I was so happy to have the ability/skills later in life to be the one to customize your vans for you, making them how you wanted. WE ALL know that Big John wants what he wants....how he wants it. I hope I made it BETTER than you wanted & made you proud. I love you very, very much & will continue to keep you apart of my everyday life and of course in my heart forever!
