My heart is bursting with gratitude,grace and calm.
My abuelo Juan Aponte was basking in Love & Light
as he passed away surrounded by his children & grandchildren.
I am grateful that my mom,Marianna
and her siblings are at peace.
My abuelo celebrated his 97th birthday this past June.
How lucky were we to have been blessed with his love.
So many treasured moments.
When I would stop by at your home at 630am to share a taza de cafe with you before heading out to work.
Or when I was a little girl and you owned your bodega.
I walked home from school on my lunch break just to share
a Salami & cheese sandwich with my grandpa.
How lucky was I.
What a blessing...
Our walks in Tibitts park were filled with so much laughter,deep conversation and consejos all the way.
97 years young mi viejito.
Loving memories I hold like precious jewels in my heart.
Thank you grandpa for nourishing my soul and loving me with all your heart.
