Obituary of Joseph Rodriguez

Joseph B. Rodriguez of Hastings-On-Hudson, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the age of 66. Joe was a beloved husband of 43 years to Pat Ryan Rodriguez, devoted son to Gloria Dolores and Jose Rodriguez, inspirational father to his children, cherished grandfather, uncle, brother, father and brother in-law, and cousin to a large, loving family. His circle of friends grew with every new place he visited. Both friends and family alike knew they could count on him for anything. Joe was a brave and generous man, dedicating 28 years to protecting the community of Yonkers NY as an officer of the Police Department. He managed a sign business in retirement, feeding his creative side while keeping him close to the people of the community he served. Joe was the type of person who would invite a stranger into his family. He loved laughing, dancing, vacationing on cruise lines, golfing and befriending almost anyone he came in contact with. He brought life and love to everyone he met and will truly be missed. Joe's family invites all who knew him to say their goodbyes on Thursday, November 20 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and a service will be held in his memory on Friday, Nov 21 at 10:30am at Hastings Funeral Home: 15 Spring Street Hastings, NY 10706.
