"If you pray truly, you will feel within yourself a great assurance, and the angels will be your companions."~ Evagrius of Pontus
We will never get over the loss such a beautiful soul and we pray your spirit will be our companion as we begin this difficult road to healing.

Gary, my uncle, friend and confidant, you will always be remembered and sorely missed.
Angels are summoned by our Lord early and someone as extraordinary as you will always be needed, both on and off this earth. I believe you were a special angel of God who was called home early to carry out His will and His word. I wanted to be selfish and ask Him to leave you with us, but have come to understand someone as special you will always be needed by and for a higher power.
Legally you are my uncle, in actuality you were my second father and a best friend. Like you are now for the Lord, you were there for me and others without hesitation, anytime day or night. You had a way of making the most convoluted and complex situations seem simple by demonstrating a clear path of resolution. Through our conversations, you had a way of clearing out my clouds of doubt and allowing the sunlight in. Yes, sometimes a bolt of lightning was needed but you knew how and when to strike in the most loving and humorous/Gary way. The simplest times we spent together will always have a tremendous impact on my life. Going to Connecticut on the weekends when I was growing up, going to train shows as a kid, talking on the phone late night while you were on the Merit Parkway, watching you dominate Mario Brothers, discussing current market conditions, solving the world problems on politics, or just spending time with you in front of late night T.V., while discussing the most innocuous topics are fond memories that will always be cherished.
Your persona, your laugh, and your ambiance was always contagious. You had a way of lighting up a room full of people with your infectious laughter and happiness, no matter what the previous underlying tone was by using nothing more than your personality. You had a way of changing our holidays, gatherings, and occasions simply with your arrival, including picking the dog up and parading her through family and friends. Those are memories given by God that will be treasured forever. You were always the center piece of the puzzle for any occasion.
You demonstrated the value and necessity of hard work and the importance of an education. Your teachings, examples, and wishes will be executed in their entirety. I will feel accomplished in life if I can achieve only half of what you accomplished in your short time with us.
Everyone who knew you, knows how special you were. Everyone whose lives you touched, knows there will never be anyone else like you. I am more than fortunate and honored to have you affect my life in such a pronounced way. You are irreplaceable. Now that the Lord has summoned one of His best angel’s home for His calling, which we here on earth cannot understand or comprehend, I know you will bring much happiness through all the memories you gave us.
Please have the weather clear, the sun out, donuts and coffee ready, with the best restaurants picked out for the time when we meet again.
You are loved and will be missed more than words could ever express.
